UNDERSTANDING INTIMACY IS A POWERFUL GIFT TO YOURSELF
Karolina Kowalczyk

About Me

Welcome! I’m Karolina, a sex and relationship therapist, counsellor, and somatic sex coach, here to help individuals and couples cultivate deeper intimacy, connection, and joy.

I was born in Poland and spent my first 20 years in a place where traditional and conservative values often shaped conversations around sex and relationships. Yet, even in that environment, I felt a deep pull to explore beyond societal expectations and dive into the freedom of sex, pleasure, and authentic connection. I’ve always believed that we don’t have to conform to the limiting beliefs that culture imposes on us. Instead, we can embrace our desires, challenge taboos, and cultivate deeper intimacy in our lives.

This passion became even more personal after the birth of my son, as I experienced firsthand how life transitions like motherhood can shift our relationships and sense of self. Today, I bring my curiosity, warmth, and commitment to freedom and connection into my work, helping clients reclaim their pleasure and transform their relationships.

Sex therapy is often seen as a last resort—something people turn to only when facing significant challenges in their relationships or intimacy. But I believe it can be so much more. Just like regular check-ups for physical health, sex and relationship therapy can be an empowering way to maintain and nurture your connection, pleasure, and excitement.
It’s about celebrating what works, exploring what could grow, and keeping the spark alive.

Why Choose Sex Therapy

Whether you’re seeking to overcome a challenge in your personal life, or expand your understanding of what intimacy truly is, our work together is tailored towards your needs.

We will celebrate what works and explore what could grow. If you want to keep your existing relationship thriving or reignite a spark in how you feel about yourself, sex therapy is the start of a journey that you won’t regret.

I am a member of the Somatic Sex Educators Association

I am a member of the Somatic Sex Educators Association of Australasia and Australian Counsellors Association. I am passionate about the somatic approach to sexology: I love how it brings our bodies in alignment with our minds.

Besides my face-to-face consultations, I also provide online therapy options.

In our sessions, I blend somatic awareness—reconnecting with the body’s wisdom—with sexology, the scientific study of human sexuality. This integrative approach makes therapy a safe, engaging, and even a fun space to explore.

Let's Normalize Sex Therapy

Let’s normalize the idea that sex therapy isn’t just about fixing problems; it’s about creating a more fulfilling and vibrant life. With curiosity, openness, and support, we can nurture connection, desire, and joy in every stage of your journey.

Who sees a Sex Therapist?

I support people of all ages, individuals, couples, and people in both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships who want to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships. LGBTQIA+ identities, sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, chronic illness, and those with mental health challenges are welcome.
